What Went Wrong?

Manchester United’s 2-0 defeat to West Ham on Sunday afternoon left many fans disappointed!!!

This surely made Ole Gunnar Solskjaer – The manager of English club Manchester United thinking about the ground reality and position of Team. During the match, Marcus Rashford collapsed due to a groin injury and this led the squad losing it’s only fit and recognized striker. After which it was decided to bring on Lingard, an attacking player, but not a striker, who has scored just once in his last 23 games.

The downfall of the team can be seen after looking on its performance since March.  Manchester United beat PSG in the Champions League in March since then they have played 19 games and scored just 17 goals.

Despite spending £892 million on new players since 2013 they were here being forced to play without a striker. The failure to properly invest was exposed when United started with Scott McTominay, Andreas Pereira and Nemanja Matic, players who might struggle to get into a mid-table Premier League side.

Alexis a Chilean professional footballer who plays as a forward for Italian
Serie A club after being loaned from English Premier League side Manchester United. A player with an ample number of records and great performances was not properly utilized in the team.

Pogba faced a struggle to play in coming matches after sustaining an ankle injury in United’s Carabao Cup win against Rochdale on Wednesday and Rashford was an even bigger doubt after missing the game against Rochdale following his early withdrawal in the defeat to West Ham last Sunday. They will be playing the coming matches after being declared fit.

Pogba in manchester united does not look focussed as he has not been able to show his full potential. The way he used to play in his former club Juventus and show dedication is not being  seen in manchester united. There have been numerous talks of him wanting to leave manchester united.

After Ferguson, the longest-serving manager of Manchester United the team has been missing a coach like him.

A good coach and motivated team of players is needed to change the present scoreboard and future of the team.
